Nicole Gailliard, our founder and CEO, served as Project Manager and Master Electrician for the MRCC Solar Installation in Detroit — a 175.49 kWDC / 150 kWAC commercial solar project led by FEW Energy. Working alongside a skilled team of IBEW-trained electricians and trusted colleagues, Nicole coordinated system layout, installation, and NEC compliance for a landmark clean-energy development.
She also helped lead electrical operations at Veridian at County Farm in Ann Arbor — one of Michigan’s first all-electric, solar-powered neighborhoods — collaborating with FEW Energy, under the leadership of Matt Grocoff, and an exceptional team of IBEW professionals. Together they implemented advanced Sonnen and Enphase technologies supporting one of the nation’s earliest virtual power plant models. The project was later featured in the PBS special “Veridian at County Farm” and the Veridian at County Farm Project Overview, both highlighting its national significance in sustainable design and clean-energy innovation.
Empowered Electrical Solutions shares a deep alignment with the FEW Nexus vision pioneered by Matt Grocoff — integrating Food, Energy, and Water systems to create sustainable, resilient communities. Nicole’s collaboration with Matt and FEW Energy reflects a shared belief that true innovation comes from designing systems that serve both people and the planet — building cleaner, smarter, and more connected energy futures.

With over a decade of field experience and a foundation built under IBEW Local 58 standards, Nicole Gailliard brings unmatched precision, professionalism, and purpose to every project.
As a Licensed Electrical Contractor and Master Electrician, she leads Empowered Electrical Solutions with a deep commitment to safety, innovation, and community impact.
Nicole currently serves as Master Electrician at Veridian and for FEW Energy, collaborating with Matt Grocoff to advance Michigan’s clean-energy transformation through solar, battery, and smart-grid innovation.
In 2025, she and Empowered Electrical Solutions proudly completed the Detroit Clean Energy Contractor Accelerator Program through Elevate, a prestigious initiative equipping contractors to lead in equitable climate action and clean-energy growth across Detroit.
